Summer Safety Training Programs – Start at WHSC!

Amidst the fast pace of contemporary workplaces, ensuring the safety and well-being of all workplace parties remains paramount. An essential approach to achieving this is through comprehensive safety training. Here at Workers Health & Safety Centre (WHSC), we understand the critical role such training plays in preventing hazardous exposures and preserving worker health. The summer is a great time to participate in health and safety training especially for those who hire seasonal staff, but also for those businesses who experience slowdowns during the summer months. Also, did you know May is Mental Health Awareness month? Workplace Mental Health programs booked during May are now $45.
Every day in Ontario, preventable tragedies unfold, highlighting the urgent need to prioritize hazard identification, assessment, control, and workplace training. This commitment should be on par with, if not surpassing, the focus on productivity and profits. Lives are shattered by critical injuries and debilitating illnesses caused by workplace hazards. Some face fatal outcomes, whether through traumatic incidents or silent occupational diseases like cancer.

As Ontario’s official training centre for more than 35 years, Workers Health & Safety Centre (WHSC) offers a range of programs dedicated to assisting all workers, employers, supervisors and workplace representatives meet and exceed their legal rights and duties related to providing safer, healthier work. Programs are always instructor-led and provide participants with take-home materials that can be referred to even after training is completed.

Registration for training closes two weeks before each training date. While working at Heights training courses remain open until the day before training.Programs are filled online on a first-come, first-served basis.
