Day of Mourning

Day of Mourning and Migrant Agricultural Deaths

April 28, 2026

Greetings

My name is Chris Ramsaroop, I am a member of Justice for Migrant Workers. As we come together to honour workers killed at work, J4MW is writing to share with you that on April 28th (Day of Mourning), we are providing notice to the governments of Ontario and Canada regarding our impending complaint to the UN Human Rights Committee. It is our intention that on December 18th (the International Day for Migrant Workers) J4MW will proceed with a complaint regarding the inaction by both levels of government to address the workplace deaths of migrant agricultural workers. We have attached our letter. Feel free to circulate.

Thank you
