Fundraiser in Support of the Cuban People

Dear friends of LACASA, People for Peace London, and/or universal human rights,
We are writing to ask you for your cooperation with a fundraising event in solidarity with Cuba that will take place at Casa Latina, 150 Dundas St. at 7 pm, on Friday, May 1st (poster attached).
The event will include speakers, musical and dance performances, a silent auction and a book reading. Food and drinks are available for purchase on the premises. As you know the people of Cuba are being stifled, deprived of energy, food, medicine, and their main source of revenue, tourism, due to the unjust and inhumane blockade imposed by the US.
We are working with the Canadian Network on Cuba, a non-profit organization, that is filling containers of essential goods to be sent to the island. All proceeds of this event will go to them.
