July 11 11am: Solidarity Food Drive for OPSEU/SEFPO 166

On Saturday, a solidarity food and donation drive will be held for the members of OPSEU/SEFPO Local 166 on strike at Community Living London during Sunfest.
Where: Victoria Park, London, northwest corner (intersection of Richmond and Central) When: Saturday, July 11, 2026 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Who: LDLC and a broad community coalition What: Solidarity event to collect non-perishable foods and grocery gift cards.
These OPSEU workers have urgent basic needs in this Week 7 of their courageous strike. We are working working with a broad community coalition on a food drive: donations of grocery gift cards (of reasonably small amounts for distribution to individual members facing hardship) and non-perishable foods will be accepted. Cheque donations are also gratefully accepted; please make the cheque out to OPSEU Local 166.
During this event, OPSEU/SEFPO 166 members will be engaging in public outreach and an information picket.
Donations Also Needed for OPSEU/SEFPO Local 172 (Ingersoll)
Local 172, on strike at Ingersoll Support Services Inc., is a small, newer local that also requires donations. Besides cheques payable to OPSEU Local 172, they also welcome donations of water and Gatorade for their picket lines.
