| At Workers Health & Safety Centre (WHSC), we take real pride in what it means to be Ontario’s official government-designated occupational health and safety training centre. Quality training is often the first meaningful step in helping to prevent worker injury, illness, and death. And it’s a powerful way to support worker well-being—day after day, shift after shift, workplace after workplace. But here’s the truth: our training doesn’t come to life on its own. At the heart of WHSC’s work are WHSC-qualified instructors. They make our “workers training workers” model possible. Every course we deliver is instructor-led, built to ensure action and learning objectives are met by every single person in the classroom. Becoming a WHSC instructor means being able to facilitate training in a way that ensures learning can be applied long after the course ends. It means using adult education principles in real classrooms—in-person and virtual—with real people, real questions, and real workplace pressures. Want to join us in this essential and inspiring work? WHSC is once again offering Instructor Training in WHSC training facilities across Ontario this spring.
